my JD starions smoking a bit out the rear muffler.
at idle and after i rev it to 2000rpm and let go of the accelerator it blows abit of black smoke. then it just smokes abit out the rear muffler.

is the motor running rich?

is the turbosmart fuel cut defender causing it to run rich?
theres a little screw on the fuel cut defender. That says CUT.
can i adjust it?

is the computer giving the injectors the wrong amount of fuel?

i also put in a new vr4 o2 sensor with a base plate?

i don't have a lean or rich mixture screw.

i also put a MSD Blaster 2 coil on previously.

is the air flow meter playing up?

what can i do to stop the smoke?

any help is appreciated
thanx in advance

It's running rich, if you tamper with that yellow wire on the map sensor it can cause your car to run rich, could be solved by playing with the cut adjustment? only one way to tell.

first i tryed unpluging the injector plugs and reconnecting them.
i unplugged one of the injector plugs: car stopped smoking out the rear muffler.

also tryed replacing the injectors: motor didn't want to run propally.
also replaced the original injectors back in.
removed wiring plugs from computer, checked fuel cut defender wiring is intact.
adjusted the cut screw on the fuel cut defender out 5 turns.
plugged back in computer wiring plugs.

car started good with the original injectors back in.
put in a bottle of injector cleaner.
drove the car home parked it, at idle no smoke out the rear muffler
reved the car up to 3000rpm still no smoke out the rear

can only hope i fixed it
