Have any of you guys used Shell's new Optimax Extreme?

Apparently 100 Octane with 5% Ethanol blend.

Sticker on the bowsers say suitable for most post '86 vehicles.

Nice, 100 octane is same as avgas, the ethanol could possibly make it cheaper as well, anyone seen a price??

I filled up on 95 ron with 10% ethanol last week. Ran ok, a little less power.

I read somewhere that the ethanol is great for the new cars, but it (could) damage the older model cars like ours. I don't know if I am confident enough to try it

Has a list of places to buy it.
Costs more than Optimax, premium etc. 2 or 4 cents I think.
Apparently starions can use it.

Yeah, works ok.
I gotta say tho, i used 98 ethanol in my 300zx the other day and it felt quite good, so i went put some in the BMW and again, nice response.

Ethanol is a oxgynitaing fuel, in newer cars the O2 sensor can adjust for the extra O2 in the exhaust, there4 producing more power. It's like running yr car on methanol fuel gr8 power but u use twice the fuel as normal..... :beer :beer

chris funny you should ask; at your old station in vermont south and it was ~$1.22 per litre. they really need more than one checkout at that shell.
