Hi

What is the standard turbo on the non-intercooled 2L (1986). I was told it is a TD04-14B- is this correct.

As you guys seem to throw them off ASAP, does anyone have one for sale?

Can any other mitsubishi turbo's be used, without other mods.

Also need a standard MAP sensor

Is your MAP sensor a gold metal box, or a black plastic box?

TD04-14B...I'm not sure if this will be correct. Did the starions come with these turbos standard over there? I would have been hazarding a guess at TC05-12A for an 86 or maybe at TC06...

the td06 compressor housing is bigger than the tc06 compressor housing, i think turbine housing is about the same size.

Hi

Is the flange the same and will it work on a non-intercooled starion?

That depends on the type of housing you get, i believe there are different variations ie

these are both td05 but have different configurations

This the the compressor i have and pretty much bolted in place of the standard one

Probably best to just use your TC06-11 at first, then look at upgrading the compressor housing later. Also note that TC06 and TD06 are not turbos, they are a range of turbos. The number that follows eg 11 or 17C is also very important. Most TD06's are made for trucks, so are generally only used to make hybrids with TC06 or TD05 turbos. e.g. TD05-16G turbine mated with a TD06-20G compressor and housing.

The TC06-11 is probably the best genuine-bolt-on Starion turbo. You can always replace the compressor housing with a TD06 item at a later date if you wish, or simply hiflow the TC06 housing, or maybe fit a T3 wheel.

Turbos like the TD05-16G etc are bolt on aswell, but you'll need a custom dump pipe, and custom intake piping, and a custom wastegate bracket etc etc etc so the definition of bolt on becomes lost.
