noises after a night of "cruising"

Post by DonnVito »

first off by no means did i "thrash the tits off" the awesome weapon that is Starion. I did however partake in a little high speed maneuvering.. i may or may not have been at one point 90 degrees perpendicular to a dirt road and wore off a little extra rubber, i'm already a little harsh on myself for that one, as the tyres arent exactly cheap for big rims. But to add insult to injury what i first thought was maybe a little stone riding around in the rims making a "ticka ticka ticka ticka" (you get the idea) noise.
It basically sounds like theres a stone rattling around somewhere. i went and washed my car afterwards and tyres, rims etc. Alas the noise was still there. its not affecting the peformance of my car at all, but its a bloody annoying noise, up there with the noise i get when i go around a corner and theres some bolts or nuts or something rattling its ass off in the back. to get to the point, has anyone got the faintest what this noise is?
the noise speeds up when i speed up and slows down in unison.
any help would be appreciated because by next week if i still here it i will be pulling my hairs out. ( if anyone actually read all this, you deserve an award :D )

cheers

the noise in the back may be bolt heads from the underside or the old spoiler

Where abouts is the noise coming from?

Is it from the engine area, or somewhere else?

Does it only appear when you are driving, or is it there when you are idling???

Its a long shot but check for any stones that may be lodged in the tyre tread, that will give the same sort of sound. I have had a similar thing and thats what it turned out to be.

with a face like that DonnVito you have more problems than a bad sound coming from your car :P.

If it was his missing tooth it'd be more than a "ticka ticka ticka" noise
Watch your speed - It's virtually impossible to pick it out of the carpet if it gets blown off the table.
