is it possible to get the air flow sensor (with some mods) to fit into an aftermarket air filter provided the air filter has enough room to fit it?

if it were possible to do, would any readings of air flow be affected by it being an open filter now?

i know a lot of people have cut the air can to get more air flow, so if it were possible to fit into an aftermarket filter, there should be no problems with the ECU reading air flow? or would this extra air from the new filter make the car run rich or cause other problems?

There is no problems in doing this mod, other than the time and making the adaptor, i have 1 on my sons staz, will post pics... stand by :beer :beer
