Hey guys

Just wondering how much current your starions draw from the battery whilst everything is off, door lights, alarms.. everything.
Myne draws 280mA.. is this normal? My battery seems to die over a period of just over a week.

Help!

Should be bugger all, cos nothing should be running except for the clock and the one in your stereo assuming you have one.

Check your wiring stazz baby...sounds like there is a problem with something (could be stereo or alarm that is wired to 12v constant rather than a 12v switched source?)

Yea my stereo is currenty wired directly to the battery so it doesn't forget it's presets, I didn't think it would consume that much current :S

When I last put the multi meter on the battery I got a reading of 0.28 on the 10A selector. Recently I had a auto sparky do some work and hook up a wire that was cut from the alternator (the one closest to the ground in the plastic clip, anyone know what it does?).

I'll have a stab at it tomorrow, sick of recharging my battery once a week.

That wire is the field wire to the alternator, it determines how much charge comes out of the alternator.
