Ill put the whole MPI thing on hold as I dont have that kind of money. So now im thinking some extra additional injectors instead. In the us this is a populear way to reach 300 hp cheap with the stock, similar injection system..
Has someone tried it?
Can you recomend a system?

Why bother, you may as well wait until you have the dough and do it properly.

Also remember its a touch easier for the US guys, their engine is 600cc larger. So what they do for 300hp is different to what we do for 300hp. Extra injectors might work, but just save up, do it properly.

I know I wont make 300hp with it, but the MPI is so expensive..
Is it so that the stock ECU on the starion only supply fuel for up to 13 PSI, so if you remove the boost cut, you risk to lean out?

Put the cash towards MPI, there is no comprimise. I am in the same position as you and find MPI to expensive it's just one of those things that will have to wait.

Id say the extra injector system is a compromise, but not as effective as MPI though..

Woops should of made that a bit more clear.
I meant there is no comprimise for accuracy, not price.

Build a megasquirt, the major cost of mpi is the computer the manifold only costs around 200. You can buy a full megasquirt for around $200. That makes say $500 for the conversion plus you cant put a price on how much you will learn when building/installing a megasquirt.
Good luck

I'm really keen to do that, the assembly and installation should be alright, but what puts me off is tuning it, looks hard.

galagaza,
We have developed complete kits for throttle body cars, complete with larger injectors, ECU, and wiring. Also controllers for extra injectors.
