Intercooler piping..
Hey, im after some examples of how people have run their cooler piping without removing the battery yet still making it possible to get to the oil cap?
Any pictures would be of great help

Yeah, but it's going to have to loop around the filler cap and run either down and under or off past the P/S pump and through. Depends where the in and out are of the cooler. 2 inch piping is what I have, the turbo outlet is roughly that. The ugly bit is where the pipe goes from round to oval for the TB entry.
Or this??

It's some dudes car, bit of a tosser if you ask me, all that red crap
BTW, the turbo compressor is different on Lxs's car, hence the piping can run out towards the left

Just rotate the turbo front housing. Then you can run the pipe work as per a JD Starion if you want to retain your battery location. Mind you, moving the battery to the boot is not a major drama. Or you could replace the battery with a smaller dry-cell unit and leave it where it is.. as per Darkelf's car.

Yeah, I agree with cookie, its easy to rotate the housing and depending on turbo you may not need to make a braket for the acuator, mine has a mounting hole on the cover that I used for the accuator.
If you run the pipes down along the chassis rail the air inside them will be cooler as the engine bay temps are alot cooler down low.
I managed to fit a 2 1/4 inch pipe through the radiator suport along side the normal sized battery, just :)
