Rear CV's, anyone replaced recently?

My driveline has an alarming amount of slack, it always has, and its always bothered me. Ive tried tracking down the exact cause, but its just a little bit of everything being worn out unfortunatly. The part with the most slack i can find are the rear inner cv's. How do you go about replaceing these? remove the axels and take them to a cv shop? or can you get a kit to replace them yourself at all?

Im thinking about actually keeping my 83 beater for a while longer and giving it a bit of a makeover, so i need to look at options for finally getting its running all sorted.

Just read the section of the manual and it says don't touch the inner joint, you can't rebuild it. The outer one can though. Check to make sure which end is rooted.
I have a pdf file for removal and rebuild if you want it (3.3M) Can your email handle it?
I also happen to have a pair of shafts at home gathering dust......
