I need a new clutch should I go Heavy duty or standard?
The cars standard at the moment but I hope to run 14psi though with in 6 months will the standard clutch hold out?
I'm a student and let’s face cheap
I’ve got some great Quotes for an HD but I have also received an excellent quote for a standard item help!!!
how strong is the standard clutch
I'm nobody's subject
I've gone thru several combinations of clutches - button, standard, heavy duty and some things in between. I would recommend heavy duty but they tend to wear faster (maybe because I flogged the car harder). The standard clutch should give you at least 3 years worth of abuse.
Bottom line is... it's a consumable - so it'll wear. If you can't afford to fix the problem should it become one I would suggest selling the car while it's still in good working order.

Heavy duty is good, less likely to slip.
Having said that, the first time I changed my clutch was only a couple of years ago, and it was to remove the stock standard OEM Mitsubishi clutch!
