About $10,000.

That's not an exact figure, but it should represent ballpark, to get someone else to do it.

You might be able to buy one already done for less than that too.

Alternatively, for around the same price, you could probably go for different engine choices also.

Most of that price would be labour.

David.

Yeah about 10,000. That's coming from some one I know that has done several of these.

but $10,000 generally includes the works i.e. Blueprinted Engine with Aftermarket rods and Forged pistons, camshafts, EMS system, Intercooler, Exhaust maybe even Supra Gearbox, LSD etc etc

certainly wouldnt include lsd.. yeah, internals u might get away with, and gearbox.. thats about it, if u dont already have aftermarket management before putting it in then you'll be struggling..

Assume you do the work yourself......$6000 will get you a VR4 Blueprinted, forged pistons, rods, stroked & camshafts enough for 700Hp.......

$800 will get you the intercooler & piping, another $800 will do the exhaust, then yeah the Supra gearbox would finish up the $10000

And you still have to install it yourself.....but with about $15000 and some work done by yourself 500Hp+ atw is possible

You forgot a 500hp turbo.. :) another 1.5k at least for something decent..

yeah, 15k is a more realitic sum.

Well i thought 5k was going to be enough seeing as how i was building the engine but its looks like 6k is more like it but this is going to be a serious setup when finished.

Quite frankly you'd be absolutely crazy to consider doing it yourself when you consider the very reasonable amount Paradoxx wants for his... and you could put the money you save into the brake conversion :D

could get a 2.6 with a big turbo (Cheapest), a 3000GT engine, twin turbo 3.8 commonwhore engine, SR20, RB25DETT (been told it fits), 1 or 2JZGTE Supra engine.

At the end of the day you will have similar costs. You will need a big turbo, Intercooler, EMS, and then all the internals if you must. A VR4 cost around $2500 just for the engine?
