hi guys, i have got the vr4 motor sitting in my starion at the moment, and now comes the tricky bits of wiring and pluming.
and was wondering if there are turbo mainfolds that can be bought to fit the motor and td05 and starion engine bay? what sort of prices?
or will i have to get a custom one made?
what do most people do?

Will the td05 clear the steering box etc when mounted on the factory manifold?
You may just have to go for a custom manifold.

i havent checked but, i have seen a starion here with same conversion, and the motor was moved over a bit so they could use the vr4 manifold, but it was still fairly close to the steering box.
so is there custom manifolds that can bought to fit that anyone knows of?

Yeah not bad. It's not fully tuned but it handles 21psi without complaining, last dyno had 170kw at the rear, but since then i have got a new fuel pump and upped the boost. No idea how much she has now... the prev owner had her over 200kw with a custom built computer.

i have no idea how much... i didnt go through the pain of doing the conversion... i have a feeling it may have been part of the price in the conversion. i can get pics if you like?

i e-mailed that place crockenbergmotors and they said they don't do anything for that.
yeah that would be great if u could get some pics of the turbo manifold. and other parts of the conversion.
so what motor is it? japsepc or ausspec vr4 motor?
is it the original motor? what computer r u running?
also what clutch are u running? and what fuel pump were u running before?
it sounds like it's making a bit of power than :)
gee i have a few quesions, i havent seen many people who have done this conversion before.
thanx

Chris Collier would be the person to speak to about a manifold for a VR4 in a Starion.
