Just wanting to know exactly what a bypass valve is and what should I do to do one. And what benefits does it hold.

Thanks

A bypass valve is just a plumb back BOV is it not? Bypass is just the name they used back in the 80's hehe.
but a plumb back bov just has an BOV with an adaptor to vent the turbocharged air through a hose and back to the inlet tract just before entering the turbo compressor but after the air measuring sensor which ever one that may be.

Correct me if i am wrong but i think thats right.
But in saying that, a bypass valve can be any valve used to bypass somthing lol.

Cheers

as said its a valve that byepasses something
depends what context really

in say a toyota mr2 s/c its a valve wich takes the supercharger out of the equation by running the air around it so it doesnt have to go thru it and take parasitic losses while the s/c is clutched and not on.
