hey everyone,
when i bought my starion the injection was half way through being changed over, its an EVO injection with an xf throttle body, but there is still heaps to be done. if anyone has made the same sort of mod to their starion can you please give me some advice as i have no idea where to start....

I think we really need to know what you have now exactly... I would make an assumption that you have a Starion, with a sonata manifold that has been modified to suit an XF throttlebody, pointing the right direction, and have evo injectors.
Do you have an ECU to run it?

ummmmmm......
ill run u through what the deal is....
i bought the car without an ecu, i havent got one yet, i have a custom stainless manifold that was designed for the xf throttle body, evo injectors.

Your in a shit load of hurt, unless you got the car cheap. I could do it for you but i'm up in brisbane, there should be some one down there in the Club that can help you, but don't expect any change out of$1500, every little thing adds up. sorry for the bad news 8)

To post pics, you will need to have them on the internet and then add a link to them here.
http://www.pbase.com is a nice, free and quick way to post pics on the net.

whoa, shiney.
Right, looks like a galant/sonata manifold, cut and shut and adapted for an XF throttlebody, and if those are evo injectgors, good shit.
ECU to run it will be a majour step...
Turbo?
Throttle cable?
Is there a TPS there?
Sensors for the ECU.
It looks quite nice, but its got a long way to go.

ive got a garrett t28 turbo for it
throttle cable is long enough but a bracket needs to be made, this i already know, and i have a tps for it, just havent put it on.
when some cash comes my way im getting a new microtech ecu for it.
damn my car is so far away from getting on the road! :(

the guy i bought the car off gave me a 3" mandrel bent pipe with the car but its for the old injection and throttle body.
does anyone have any idea how much it is going to cost to get all new piping done for the new throttle body?

looks very good.
I run a garrett T28.
have you made the manifold for it yet?
Do the pipe work your self with mandrel bends and silicon hose, its not hard
what about the top radiator hose?

Check the intercooler pipe thread for very good information:

A few people have bought piping and mandrel bends, cut them and aligned them in place (with sticky tape). marked the joins and then taken them to an exhaust shop to have them welded.

yeah i have a custom stainless exhaust made for the car, all i have to do is change the plate to suit this turbo as it suits a T4 turbo at the moment. i need to buy a radiator hose for it 2, i hope thats not too hard 2 find
i have a friend who is going to help me design the pipe, but do you have a rough idea of how much it is going to cost?

For a radiator hose you can use a TN Magna hose, trimmed to length and joined on using 5cms of pipe to join the original starion pipe to it.
cheers
