You'll need two belts - the timing belt and the balance belt.
Get 'em both from Mitsubishi - they're the same as the L300 belts, so there's no danger of not being able to find them. I bought some from Mitsu a couple of weeks ago.

Grab the manual section on the belts - it'll tell you what you need to know.
Basically: put engine on TDC, distributor rotor at 8 o'clock, timing belt at 9 o'clock, aligned with mark on engine. Remove top plastic timing case cover. Remove PS belt, water pump belt, aircon belt. Remove water pump pulley and crank pulleys (4 x 12mm bolts in each). Remove lower plastic timing case cover. Buggerise around with the belts, sprockets and tensioner, replace belts. Align marks on belt sprockets (be careful with the timing belt - you'll need to check the alignment by removing the plug on the block near the starter motor and sticking a screwdriver in). Reinstall the tensioner and put everything back together.

If you don't have that section of the manual, it was available from Camotec's site, otherwise ping me and I'll email it to you.

Now at TDC, the other balance shaft, the one which you can't stick a srewdriver into to check, has to be flat like the other one at TDC correct ?
