Leaking new injector o-rings JB, dammit

Post by enthuzed »

There's gotta be a solution to this, been working on this frustrating issue for months!

I've got some o-rings that are a tight fit onto the injector & a tight fit into the housing but they keep weeping. Example, one is perfect, I pull it apart & replace only the leaking seal (dont touch the other injector just leave it in the housing) and then carefully and evenly tighten the retaining bolts. Then the other untouched one leaks!

Last time I did this was with the precision of a surgeon....now both weep!

Suggestions?

Should I get a thicker o-ring and Vaseline it on?
Reduce fuel costs by 15-20% & cut emissions by 1/3rd...
Increase engine performance & prolong engine life...
How?

Try thicker o-rings. You may have to do what I did many moons ago, shape the o-ring with a drill and sandpaper to make a flat on the outside of the o-ring. It's a trial and error thing to get them to fit tight. I used WD40 to fit too
