I need to fit one of the above as when I did a bit of a burnout the other day (not on the road) the rear brakes were grabbing a bit more than I would have liked. And as Im going to do a bit of drag racing in it in the summer Im going to need to do something.....

I kind of like the idea of fitting a shut off valve to the rear line. That way I still have control of the fronts as normal.

Just wondering what other people are using and what is the best way around fitting one of these to a street car as they are ilegal in most places.

The other way is a line locker. Like this.

Pump up the brakes, hit the switch and they lock on.

I doubt any of this stuff would be legal on a road car.....just don't tell :wink:

One of those willwood units installed just before the manifold which splits the rear line out to either side of the car (just infront of the fuel tank) would be pretty cool, and should work pretty well. Must be somewhere under there to hide it nicely?

I was thinking about mounting it close to the master cylinder behind the heat sheild. You would have to look really hard to find it there! :D

It ain't gonna worry you out at Ruapuna, my stocker could sit there as long as I wanted with 60 series tyres and all. You start burnouts out there on wet concrete and then they don't like you using the brake on the tarmac. (because dual use racetrack)

Ok, thats interesting. Think Ill still fit a shut off valve though. Just in case the burn out mood arises again and Im not on wet concrete :D
