Slotted vs Standard

Post by RiceThief »

I'm doing a brake upgrade to my starion and am upgrading the disc. I wondering would the additional cost of going slotted disc be worth the extra cost if the car is mostly street driven with occasional track days.

Slotted discs are supposed to let the hot gasses and pad dust escape and keep the pad surface clean.

Tomsun - It was $60 dollars more, not much in all honesty but I didn't think it was worth it in the end.

Oldie - I don't think gasses are an issue anymore with modern pads.
