oil pressure too high?

Hello,
i've got a problem. My oil pressure-gauge shows more then 3 quarters of the scale. with all the starions and 4g63 engines i had it always was a bit to low.
But in the lancer even 2 seconds after i start the engine it indicates such a high pressure, which i think is wrong! As far as i know, oil-pressure first has to build up, which takes some seconds...
Any suggestions what i could be?
the car was standing for about 2 months... And i dont really want to drive it until i know if its save for the engine :(
