Starion Friendly Mechanic

Post by StarionJD »

Hi All,

Looks as if I need a new throttle body as I have leaks of fuel.
Anyone know of a starion friendly mechanic who could help?
Eastern suburbs Melbourne.

Cheers

you can get a service kit and fix it properly yourself - available from US, or I may have a spare kit lying around.
Its actually quite therapeutic to do it yourself - kit has all the instructions
1985 JB - owned from new.
1986 JD - used to own one.......

Therapeutic? Just spent all morning trying to figure out what totally drained my battery. Weird, battery says zero volts on multimeter, about seven disconnected. Traced to brake light switch in front of pedal. Switch position looked ok, so removed. :-( Tested out ok. Reinstalled, adjusted, seemed to work ok using spare battery. Therapeutic. perhaps but had other things to do.

BTW thanks for the info.
