Other diff options?

Anyone thought about putting a skyline diff into a starion?
Was talking to a mate in the business about this, seems, obviously you would need to mount the diff, cut the drive shaft and get the other end of the skyline shaft added in, remove torque tube, use the inner skyline cv and starion outer and either custom axle or cut and weld and sleeve.
I know they're probably not to common over in aus, but they're silly cheap here, hold a lot of power and super easy to replace or fix if they break.

I'm just not 100% on removing the torque tube?

My understanding is that the torque tube is there for a couple of reasons. It provides some twist, and thus shock resistance to the driveline. It also means we have a pretty short driveshaft, so no need to have it in two pieces like skylines etc.

Still, it'd be interesting to have a go. Try it and we'll all learn from your mista.... experience :).

Plenty of strong aftermarket decent LSD options for the nissan boys too.

Often thought about this myself too - especially when you can pick up complete rear subframes with lsd for little over $200

Do it

I plan on doing an IRS 9 inch conversion as soon as our (VPW/RTS) housings land.

I think I might have to get one, then might have to get zac round and we can bang our heads together to get it to work.
