Gasket Sealant fix

Post by WidebodyWoody »

Has anyone ever used this stuff before? I want to drive my widebody while I wait for my upgrade money to come through. I am having withdrawls. Product info and steps would help if you were succesful. The gasket went after the car over heated once.

Cheers

if done right, it will work fine for a few months - my cousin used chemiweld on his ute for a few months until he could get it fixed properly.

Seems to work really well if used right, but I don't know how long it'd last that way. Don't know how it will fare in a turbo application though.

It does work, but f*ck cleaning up the mess when you rebuild the motor.

It makes a mess inside.

hmm yeah true. I would only need it for a month, but thinking about the junk, I don't want that stuff going through my turbo. My engine I don't care about, as its being completely changed. But don't want that junk inside my radiator and turbo.

The stuff you pour into the radiator to fix leaks in the collant system? Nasty stuff, most likely bought by people trying to sell a car with more serious issues!
