Yep that's right, 'cause I'm in the city of Adelaide a certain place called 'Regency' exists :x

So how would I go about explaining how a multi-coil ignition system has been set-up with the AFM looking 'suspicious' by being were it should :D and how it all looks neatly wired into an original old looking Mitsubishi ECU :P

Or would the power gain not be so much more than the DASH optical dizzy with a standard Microtech LT8s not the X version ?

I'm deciding on getting a Microtech EMS, either the LTX8s or LT8s

Now how what sort of performance difference can I expect between the DASH Optical dizzy and a Multi-coil BOSCH Ignition System ?

And is it possible to run a Multi-coil system and be legal/road worthy ?

Call your Regency friends and ask them, then get it in writing.

To run multi coil you need to use a crank angle sensor of which the starion does not have, your choice here is to use the opti dizzy as a crank angle sensor, or mount a disc/sensor on the crank or cam wheel.
Most use the opti dizzy for ease, as mounting discs/sensors is a bit involved.

Avoid the vr4 coil system as many twincam owners have found limitaions in it over 170odd kw/w. Apparently the coils are weak.

Microtech LTX8s come with their own CAS, now what performance difference can I expect between the optical dizzy & the new generation Bosch multi-coil ignition system ?

That is, is it worth the extra $500 or not ?

Did i get jibbed AGAIN? From my knowledge, they dont come with their own CAS (unless you meant the newer LTX8S and not LTX8's). Use a 1994 Sonata optical dizzy, or any that will fit that has BOTH home and ref signals (i.e. a signal to tell the ECU when to fire, and a signal for cylinder 1TDC).

apparently multi coil provides better spark all round (more charge time) and better control up high in the revs. Wouldnt personally know as my car isnt healthy enough to be running at the top of its revs.
