Where to fit adjustable fuel pressure regulator?

Hi,

Can anyone help. Got a new adjustable fuel pressure regulator but not sure where to fit it in the system?!

1 exactly what model and year
2 motor is it a 54 or a 63
3 single cam or twin cam
4 Stock inlet and injection or mpi
5 mods if any

Hi, sorry it's a 1988 2.0l 4g63 SOHC.

Standard inlet and turbo etc. running 14psi.

Also could anyone tell me what this is/does? (I broke it)

I think that's a pressure switch of sorts, with manifold pressure on one side and the airbox on the other that connects to the map sensor, the way you have it connected is probably creating a small vacume leak for the engine, causing your less than optimal running.

When mine broke I connected the manifold tube direct to the map sensor bypassing that device (and unplugging it from the loom) and the engine ran "ok". I eventually replaced mine with a good s/hand. They're not worth much and someone here should have one, post a wanted in the sale section.
