Where to source a Clutch Fan

Post by sillbeer »

The Clutch (Viscous) Fan on the Galant is giving up after 315,000kms so I need to find another. Any ideas where I might be able to locate one? Would they be the same as found on the L300 G64's maybe?

Local starion got thermos as far as I can gather, but this old girl's an import so just not sure where to go.

I'm in Perth BTW.

Cheers
Brendan

Got some factory Starion thermo fans up for grabs, might still also have the original viscous assembly from the imported Staz floating around...
Reduce fuel costs by 15-20% & cut emissions by 1/3rd...
Increase engine performance & prolong engine life...

I don't really want the hassle of an electric fan jobby at the moment. The car is just my backup car, and prefer a bolton replacement if at all possible. Not sure if the Galant Turbo and Starion radiators were the same size etc.

Hey enthuzed, any word on the viscous one you might have?

If you're just after the fan and not the water pump as well go to upullit or whatever and grab a Sigma fan assembly, pretty sure they're close, if not identical to the 4G63 jobbies.

Don't remember chucking it, but I can't find it either so it must be gone.
Got plenty of factory electric ones to suit the Staz, they produce much less drag on the motor too...wouldn't take much to wire it up.
