how much oil pressure is good oil pressure?

i installed a mechanical oil pressure gauge (autometer) and according to the gauge, when warm, the car has:
20-25psi on idle
50-55psi on 2500rpm and anything above (50-55psi is max the oil pressure gets to when warm)
when cold, idle gets about 80psi or over..
is this pressure too low? or is it acceptable?

Here are the oil pump and relief valve stats:
Oil pressure at idle kPa (kg/cM2.psi) - 78 (0.8, 11) or more
Oil relief valve opening pressure kPa (kg/cm2, psi) - 539 (5.5,78)
So at idle you should have 11psi or more.
Max oil pressure should never exceed 78psi.
Your oil pressure values look fine. As a comparison my engine has approx 400kpa (58psi) with revs over 3000rpm.

thanks cookie!!
i was worried that 20psi on idle was too low..
other guys, please post up your oil pressure values..

20psi on idle for my engine was too low according to my mechanic, as it was below this if i remember correctly and the oil pressure light was coming on at idle sometimes.
They put a regulator on to bring it up, can't remember what too but they did say about 30psi on idle was the best.
But they did also tell me that v8's have low idle oil pressure like around 10psi. So it must be the bigger the engine the lower the oil pressure.
(this is probably obvious to mechanically knowledgeble people, but im not one of those people :P )

Nah mine was lower than 20 when the light started coming on, just remember my mechanic saying that 30psi was good for my engine on idle.
