Has anyone used it as a temporary solution with any negative effects? I need a temporary solution and want to see if there are any negative effects.

Thanks

I have used it in a 4age. worked after a while. looks rather yuck in the radiator (and didnt fully seal H/G leak until drained radiator water and chemiweld mix and replaced with just water for what ever reason).

Did you have troubles with overheating?

Headgasket issue was caused by all the coolant escaping out the waterpump seal after adding proper coolant , and then it getting a tad warm. didnt ever overheat when it had coolant in it at any stage.

So the chemiweld didnt cause any blockages in the radiator and caused overheating? Thats all im really worried about.

It didnt for me. my understanding was that it reacts with exh gas to block (prob due to heat) - and is more meant for cracked heads that poked gaskets.

Just my case thou.

Ive used it and had success every time, found the best way is to find out which cylinder is having the leak(either compression test or in the morning check spark plugs and its usually the one that's a bit red) leave that one out(its a bit noisy) and follow the directions, the last shiter i used it on was leaking out cylinders 2&3 and after a year it hadn't needed any water and ran fine.

I use and have done for years seal wel. I think its the best of them all.

I have many stories but got 5 years of daily use in a Sigma with a cracked head, also after a car accident it fixed a number of holes in my radiator within minutes.
You must have your heater on when adding it though, can block hoses and taps LOL

I used chemiweld on my cracked starion head...........sure it worked for a little while until the turbo blew.

Humm.........this stuff reacts to heat so what's the hottest part of the engine?

You got it the turbo!.....this stuff totally gummed up the water passages solid making it oil only until it failed.............DON'T USE IT..........just fix your problem.
