Starter motor clicks, but won't crank!

I've had troubles off and on with the Starion not starting, and finally now it won't start at all... When the key is turned, the starter clicks, but no crank!

So I thought, alright I'll try another starter motor, but that is doing the same thing!

Any help would be appreciated! :)

Your battery is either flat or the terminals aren't clean.
Is the battery charged?
If so, take the battery leads off and run a file/sandpaper over the battery terminals and the inside of the battery leads. Then try again.
If no go, take the +ve lead off the starter motor and make sure it's cleaned.
Make sure the -ve from the battery to the engine is cleaned and secured to the engine block or inlet manifold.

Good luck.

Leave it in gear - roll it back and forth a couple of inches a couple of times - take it out of gear and turn the key...... see it that works :D

Get some-one to help you measure the voltage with a multi-meter. Firstly, measure the volts on the battery terminals while cranking, if it dies or drops, then battery not charged, if OK, then measure on the large lug at the starter motor. If OK, then another crook starter motor, if not OK, then fault is in your cabling or terminals.

battery isn't getting as charged as it should --- battery or alternator
battery is stuffed and dumps all voltage when you hit the key -- battery

I think its the starter itself with the selenoid being stuffed. Get someone with a spanner to lightly tap the starter motor selenoid and see if it gets it working.

get a starter relay, every starion should have one by now if it doesnt already, i'd bet thats what it is (ign switch contacts)
