when i rev the throttle say %40 and revs goto say
4500 rpm i let off the throttle the rpms drop but stay up at around 1800 for a seocnd then returns to idle rpm .

this makes for some noooob sounding shifts if not carefull with the throttle

if u only slight throttle it and time it right it wont stick,

its almost acting like a motorbike choke that isnt holding rpm,

it still has the auto throttle pedal, duno if thats it or wat


another thing...

the idle is around 800 rpm, but if i tap the throttle slightly, it goes to 1000 rpm and stays there untill i physicaly put my foot under it and lift it out a bit, then it returns to 800rpm,

when i do this from the cable in the engine bay it doesnt increase to 1000rpm if cable is pulled slightly,

hope im discriptive enough and someone understands what i mean,

The obvious question is the throttle cable sticking or kinked somewhere.

Or the linkages on the side of the throttle body that limit the return speed, check those....not sure what they're called.

Check where the cable goes into the top of the pedal as well, may be something in there that's catching and holding the pedal.

Is your return spring ok?

yea the spring is fine cause the pedal returns quite rapidly,

the lines are fine because when i do it from the engine bay its okay its only when i use the pedal, there must be some kinda sensor? on the auto throttles?, its the long tall one

ISC (idle servo controller) might be playing up, Couldnt be fixed with TPS reset, happens to cordia alot.

I had this last year on my blue car (ex auto) and it was actually the throttle cable catching near the throttle body, just adjusted it slightly and its gold now

If this is the case, then almost certainly a mechanical problem with the cable, return spring or pedal. Try removing the cable and see if moves freely through the entire travel. It's fairly common for throttle cables to get a bit frayed inside (from damage or simply old age) and this can cause sticking throttle. When the cable is removed you will also be able to check the pedal travel and that the t/b is also smooth.

its definatly nothing like the cable stuck iv made alot of adjustments with no change , cable moves mint,

il try look into it furthur, cheers boys

Not sure of what sort of set up you have , but try to clean the throttle blade with carby clean .

Maybe the TPS is being contrary.I had a similar problem many moons ago Way before MPI .Ended up removing it and that was the end of the problem

If you have a JA it's probably the dashpot. You can adjust these, unless the diaphragm is cactus.
