JD engine into JA

As im pulling my mint running engine out of my 86 car and putting my twincam engine in, thought mite put the current one in my daily driver as its starting to smoke a bit on startup.
Are there major issues transferring the later model injection system, intercooler and computer over or is it just plug and play (haha yeah right in my dreams :)
Any thoughts, ideas, knowhow appreciated. If its 2 hard il just transfer the long block.

I did the same conversion JA-JD.I used the ja eci injection unit and inlet manifold on the JD motor.
Intercooler basiclly fit on the Ja too apart from modifing the crosover pipe from round to oval.
Did'nt notice any power difference with the older eci.
motor lasted about 2 years of thrashing before I warped the cylinder head(corroded frost plug)
Did'nt bother swaping looms etc as it would of being a big pissaround.
