I got turbo taken from evo8, turbo is in low milege and good condition.
I would like to instal it into starion 4g63t SOHC engine, I got manifold from evo but dosnt fit into starion motor.

what is the most recomended think that I should do?

flandge adaptor to instal this turbo into starion stock manifold?
flandge adaptor to instal evo manifold into starion motor?
or any other recomended ideas?

I found person who is able to do laser cut, he could cut for me that flandge , i couldnt find any adaptor for sale.

my next question is, can I bought head gasket dedicated for evo 1(7bolt) or galant vr4/eclipse (6bolt)? is this gona fit into starion ?

(sory for my language if sound silly sometimes, Iam not native language speaker)

Galant VR4, Evo1, Evo2, Evo3.

You will need to make a new dump pipe but that is easy.

Yes evo 4 - 9 have different flange and will not fit starion manifold. :(

Tommi,
I have a evo 3 big 16g on a standard starion manifold. You need to turn the front housing and modify the wastegate actuator (or you can buy one from gtpumps) Also you need to bore out the hole in the manifold where the turbo bolts on to be the same size as your turbo otherwise you will not gain any flow. Evo 8 turbos run the other direction i believe as the motor was switched around on evo 4 onward. As for a head gasket i used a cometic type for a evo 1,2,3/vr4.

THANKS AGAIN

how about things like uprated CLUTCH, FLYWHEEL, IGNITION LEADS? are they gona fits from galant/eclipse/evo?

sory for that big amount of questions, I got my starion 1500km away from me, havent got chance to measure that.

Clutch and Flywheel you will have to source from the USA unless you have specialists in Poland who make their own clutch kits ?

Ignition leads, use NGK. Should be available in Poland. >> http://www.ngkntk.pl/

Part Number: RC-ME51

I was thinkin to bought some magnecore ignition leads, I know that NGK are good, I got them in galant, but I think Magnecore is top choice.
(I have seen magnecore for starion 2,6 and I have seen other for evo 4g63motor ) again there was nothing about station 2.0

On ebay is listed flywheel for starion for sale, is written that is for 2,6 84-89 is it the same flywhell for both engines?

and yes , we have clutch specjalists in poland, probably I will send my stock clutch there to modify, it cost similar money like brand new clutch from ebay.

cheers

Check your clutch. Some are 225mm in diameter others are 240mm. The flywheel for each is different.

I have found in starion book that 2.0 turbo engine have 7.6 to 1 compresion.

I was gonna order forged pistons but they got two different compression types.
8.3 to 1
9.0 to 1
?which one should I get?

and second think is, should I bought forged rods too?
where is the save limit od stock pistons and roods?

Lower compression plus high boost = lots of power
Higher compression plus lower boost = good driveability

Forged rods are pretty cheap nowadays so why not? (By the way I believe standard rods are drop forged and handle a lot of power too, but I dont want to get into another argument on this :) )

Definitely go for the forged pistons though. And Magnecore are top ignition leads.

go to www.thundercords.com.au.

They will make "genuine" magnecore leads for you, to size and boot style. (There were some copy Magnecores in circulation a few years ago.

hope that helps
