Yep, and there is nothing wrong with that. I know my cars are standard, I know they're just twenty something year old sports coupes, and I love them. But I don't pretend they're something they're not.
What I mean by that is you are pushing the limits of the standard Cordia, and you are making the best of a limited income, and there isn't anything wrong with that, BUT you need to 'keep it real' as they say.
Your standard motor is not as good as a twin cam VR4 engine in reasonable condition. Its a fact. Your intercooler piping may reduce lag, and allow for a few extra horsepower, but dont confuse a few with 150.
If you beat a VR4 or EVO on a drag strip, thats hilarious, laugh about it, but dont pretend your 8 or 12 valve engine from the early 80's is stronger or better than the DOHC engines.
The reason you get so much grief on forums (all of them) is because you live in a world of happy-ignorance. Whenever a fact comes in to play that challenges your vision of your Cordia, you ignore it, and go in to auto-defense.
