Agree with Redzone re GCG. Good rep.

You could also try Precision Turbos at Wetherill Park. he has all the right gear to balance and build. He did the rebuild on my TC06 and it was good.
Never argue with an idiot, it brings you down to their level and they beat you with experience.

iv thought about getting one to mix and match bits with my genuine evo3 tdo5
has the usualu cracking in the exhaust housing an its cheaper to get one of these and swap the housing than buy a new housing

i agree iv seen a few stuffed turbo's in my time even free boosting monsterbishi turbo's 32+psi and never any motor damage due to turbo falling apart

I think the concerns are more with reliability than with power production capability?

From what i've read, the cheapo chink turbos last a year or 2 at most before rebuild/ replacement is required, whilst i've been told by a number of sources that an original mitsu turb can last 10 years when looked after..

so i suppose it's more expensive in the long run.. you pay a third of the price up front for a fifth of the lifespan.. plsu reinstall and retune costs if you don't do it yourself..

I suppose it'd make sense for someone who wants to build a low budget track car?

want a 450hp turbo , that will spool like F***K

well - get your hands on a used TD05 20g unit , most jap wreckers will be able to source one .

-garrett T04e comp wheel

-A/R 50 comp housing

-use the td05 20g turbine wheel and comp housing .

find a turbo rebuilder give him these specs and tell him to build you this unit .

this thing will generate 450hp at only 14psi , what more do you want ...

it has taken me while and 3 combos , and this is it .....

its mix and match and what will work , and this combo works with the 8v head and a secrect spec cam , i have yet to test it on a t/cam . or my 2.4 head ..

my GT35 blew my gasket and most likely warped the head . this item makes more power , quicker spool up and on less boost , 14-16 psi .

dont get me wrong it will run out off huff at around 18-20 psi and is no match for the GT30 at top end and high boost , but this unit can make some early power with no lag what so ever ....

i doubt i will go t/cam ever , but im in the process of rebuilding ...

thats enough secrects for now . hope to see someone build one , you will not regret it what so ever
old skool jap ...........
there is no substitute...........

the tdo5/6 18,20,25g wheels are nothing new or secret mate :D
nor is the t04 comp wheel upgrade

guys have been running all different versions of them here in nz for years (all beit in vr4s and evos)
not sure if the t04 wheel fits in that comp cover though?
may need a td06

I've heard bad things about these, but never from personal experience though.
You don't want that impeller coming loose at any rpm. Not a chance I would ever take.
