Shaky steering wheel

Threw it up on the hoist at a friends work the other day.
There was no play in the wheels and the wheels are fully balanced, rims arent bent and theres no busted braids in the tyres. The passenger side tie rod end boot has knackered itself, could that cause all the clunking and wobbling?

Oh and the alignment was out by 8mm :shock:
Watch your speed - It's virtually impossible to pick it out of the carpet if it gets blown off the table.

Well I know it's an old post, but for those people who know how to use the search function. It turned out to be water in the tire. New set of tires and haven't had the problem since.
