well there you go thats why it aint there but god damn stupid dash motor and the worst thing is the gearbox in my staza is not looking to flash and they are like hens teeth ahhhhhhhhh why didn't i buy an 8v

because i like 200hp factory!!!!!

Hey man. Your starion wouldn't happen to be a silver one with mesh wheels and bilstien shocks that was for sale in autodrome on fitzgerald ave a couple of years ago, would it?
I walked in with the cash for that car, but some guy had financed it up about an hour beforehand... Oh well, you snooze you lose! ;)

this is my motor

the red is the vacuum hose from in front of the turbo
the blue is the line from the little valve thing to the vacuum advance
(dizzy and advance in purple)
what i want to know is is the orange t-piece line supposed to be going to the inlet manifolfd? it seems like there would be no vacuum under boost conditions, and this would cause no timing advance. the hose seems to have been put there at some stage after the car was made.

when i bought it the guy said that that there was a hose clamped that he removed. but i didnt see whic one. i have a feeling he reconnected this t-piece that shouldnt have been there.

yeah man thats the one but theres a long story behind it the guy from autodrome was a F**K wit and was full of it it had the tps sensor disconnected and light from dash removed turbo is shot but still going as for the bilstiens try cut springs, so after three months of owning it my mate went thru three sets of tires and crashed it blew the diff and stuff the brakes, so after sitting in his garage for two and half years i bought it for 800 and it now owes me about three k oh and it had been in a massive smash before he owned it and had to get the chassis straightened but not to much and its now missing its front kit as scott smashed it like the day after he had it so all in all man you should be glad you didn't buy it, its been hell and cost me way more than i thought it would but it's getting there and the dash is still going hard althogh burning about 1 litre of oil every two weeks so its finally driving round again but not really good enough for my liking but way better than the vr4 i had and the interior is mint

welll i looked all over adleaide 4 a map sensor..... (still not shore if thats the issue......)
however... does any one know where i can get one???
or dose any know anymore info about my problem???

Can you send me a pic of your map sensor? If it is the same as the one I have just pulled off my car then you can buy mine off me :)

Just an idea, but I just replaced my fuel filter and it stopped my car falling on it's face at 4200rpm! Now she boosts all the way to 5500rpm! :D

Also, if you're engine is still stock, revving your engine past 5500rpm will make no difference! Car will not produce any more power above this level, change gears!

sorry only pic i could find......
so if u have one like that that works tell me how much.....
and if that will fix my problem.... i figerd it out its when the boost comes on the truble starts......

any one else know where i can get one.......
i heard some thing about a club in qld where i got my turbo rebulid kit from but i didnt contact them so i dont know how.....
and i also heard that a cordia sensor will work is that true???
coz i know where i can get about 5 of them.....
or can i fix mine?????

yes still havent solved my problem map sensor had a bit of junk in the vac line..... cleaned it up will rev a bit higher but not much go though..... temp sensor??? anyone else with the same prob???? oh and matt this is my post

cheaked all vac hoses seemed to help a little......
going to send map sensor away to be tested in melbourne......
but before that i am going to check injectors make shoure there not blocked
but i need to know roughly how the fuel system works.... wat i mean is the 2nd ingector only come on boost???? is there any other things i sould know before i rip things to bits.....????
