I love how Wolf and Microtech invented the "3D" maps, in other words do it properly! What a joke Haltech was "3D" from 1988.

I thought Haltech use Halwin Software which uses a 2D bar graph to represent their maps?

Do you have screen shots of the 3D Haltech maps?

I mean the early Wolf and Microtechs were only 2D maps. Haltech was always 3D.
How the software presents them is a different question.

I was wondering what would make a map 3d verses a map that is 2d, i though that how much fuel, ignition is based on load verses rpm.

The very early stuff was MAP or TPS vs RPM but there was only 1 MAP table, the same MAP table was used for every RPM range. With maybe a few trim% points thrown in.
The 3rd dimention was multiple MAP or TPS vs RPM tables.

I get you now, remember back to when i had the wolf 2d you would have to load it to 70% and change the fueling at the point and the computer will interpolate and fuel at other points based on what u set at 70% and engine conditions based on map, rpm and tps.

Microtech have only claimed to be 3D on this model, with the 's' on the end of the Model No: running a 32Bit Processor too btw :P

So technically, Wolf 3D is the only one misleading

/How on earth they can claim 2x 2D Maps = 3D is beyond me..... rofl

Yeah whats the deal with Microtech?

All the cheap ECUs have their drawbacks, but the Microtech LT10 is only $1095AU and has 4 injector outputs and 4 ignition outputs, plus an external 4 channel ignitor included in the pack. Even the Haltech E6K or E6X only has 6 outputs for injectors and ignition. So you can have direct fire and sequential injection, and dont have to buy an ignitor unit.

What is the drawback on the Microtech LT10? It looks like an absolutely fantastic ECU for a very good price?
