Thanks, Cam.

Camotec, It is a custom 'cooler mounted similar to the JD Starion (at a 45 deg angle). Core measures 400 x 200 x 75. Probably has the same volume as a VR4.

It's some dudes car, bit of a tosser if you ask me, all that red crap
rofl yeh i should really update those pics. it's all different now! all shiny!

as for making your own intercooler piping, go for it! i watched the people do mine and i swear i could have done a better job. theres a few people on here that have made their own, cookie being one. i think you cut it all to suit, then go somewhere to get it all welded together.

The guy who helped me rebuild my engine is a fitter turner/engineer/mechanic. Where he works they have everything to do any bends in any sort of pipework so im gonna take my car up there and he will show me and help me bend up my intercooler piping. :D
Its amazing what can be done with the right help

Make sure the pipes are mandrel bends, unless you are on a really tight budget.

Mines 2.25" mandrel piping. My intercooler end tanks have 2.25" pipes so there was no point going any bigger.

2.25" piping will match perfectly with a standard TC-05 or TC-06 turbo as well since the outlet on the turbo compressor is also 2.25".

Thanks Cookie they are very good reasons for that size pipework. I am not sure what the size will be size on the intercooler i get i am still looking, i am looking at one 450x300. I dont think that would be to big.
