Wow that's quite surprising, the diff was slightly noisy but it hadn't been any different from the day i bought it. I figured it was just the setup through the gearbox that was making most of the noise. Might be a good excuse to get a pajero diff in there ;) I doubt you'd ever break one of those (it was an idea of mine if i was going to keep the car).

yeah, the mechanic has found somebody local to repair it, pajero diff, nah, CBF really, got so many other things on the car I'm spending $$ on atm... this one rebulit to higher spec should be fine..

yeah, Im unlikely to run her down the 1/4.... but I can tell you the speedo needle goes well over S and starts heading SW :)

Yeh i know that much ;) Get that 240km dash in there!!! You'll need a 240km cog for the supra gearbox speedo cable though.

nah no point.. the digital one I have only goes to 180 as well..:( will have to get an apexi rev/speed or something.. hopefully not a cop with a laser. :)

diff has been rebuilt, has a new ratio of 3.75 with some hard-arsed gears in there, apperantly the best ones they could source, cost me just a tad over $1k... will drive the car again thursday.. should be cool :) now for the gt30, will be plenty of top end methinks..

Interesting ratio. What else did they do to the diff, full rebuild?

Any idea what the gears are worth alone?
