EVO1-10 is all TD05H turbine wheel. EVO4-9 used same 16G6 compressor wheel (big 16G). EVOX uses 152G6 compressor wheel the same to look at as big16 just fraction smaller inducer.
EVO1-3 is single scroll. EVO4-10 is twin scroll. EVO4-9 used various different size turbine housings and EVO9 has a large diameter compressor housing.
EVO1-3 and EVOX are normal rotation, EVO4-9 is reverse rotation.

I have gone the TD06-20G on the stock manifold with some minor porting. It is at full boost by 3750rpm mind you it is at 12 psi by 2900rpm. Lag down low is no more with a cam grind. If its a daily I would recommend going with the TD05H-16G. It comes on way faster and you will only lose a little in the top end. Im running a ported head with a cam tech 278deg cam, sonata intake, CP pistons and eagle rods. The ARP crank studs you were talking about fit with a little panel beating and hacking to the baffles on the oil pan. Nothing too serious.

I am running a td05 16g from turbonetics onto my 2.0. This was a true direct bold on upgrade. To mine opinion it is nice for top end power. Stock 8v engine goes straight to 6500 rpm without any problem. However with the long gear sets that came stock in the starion I woud chose a smaller one now such as a td04 16t to have full boost at 2500 rpm instead of 3500 rpm.
