Car dead as a dodo...am I on the right track?

Post by enthuzed »

I had this gremlin some months ago, but I don't think it's quite the same...
Had no power to the car - fastidiously cleaned the terminals, connectors, etc. Seemed to fix it, until now...

Okay, went to start the car, and she was caput.
No power to the ignition circuit.
Okay, so you'd think nothing working check the lights.
Well the parkers work.

Pulled the fuse box out beside the battery, all fusable links are getting power, fuses there are good too.

I'm a thinking I've got a problem with the back of the ignition switch.
or a short somewhere in between.

Anyone had this problem before?
And what's the go with the fusable link wires under the airbox, if they cook then what gets knocked out?
