You have checked your fuses, haven't you? Is there anything else that you've checked so we can narrow things down?

My car does the same thing, but my wipers work!

I now have the car running high beam for lights, just tilted them down so not to shine in peoples faces! LOL

Thought about it, it's the only logical place left! It used to be intermittant and a couple of clicks between High beam and low used to fix it!

Let me know how you get on...

The combo switches' internal mechanisms are distinctly separate.
This might seem like a stupid question - do you know what size globes are in your headlights? Go and physically check. They should be 55/60s.

If higher rated ones are in there and there are no aftermarket relays on the headlights, you will have generated lots of heat in the wiring loom, particularly where the combo stalk plugs into the loom. If the wires are all funny looking that's what's happened, and depending on how it got hot, it can affect other things like wipers as they're all on the same plug from memory.

Your plug may have melted together, to fix that turn the lights to on and check if the wires get hot. If they do, whilst hot pull the plug off. Then you can look at fixing it.
