what is the mains torque settings is it diffrent to the N/A sohc one in the technical 4g63
Get a Flexi/Plastiguage and set the clearance to 18 thou :beer
Whatever the Torque applied gets that clearance then that's what you use.
Its good to have a professional Torque wrench which is very repeatable to use when doing this otherwise you'll be chasing your tail
Start at 50Nm and if you have to go over 90Nm of Torque, then you need to get the Crankshaft journals ground down then Nitrated, to use oversize bearings.

of the crank journal and subtract that from the inside diameter of the
bearing inserts installed without the crank, measured at 90 degrees to
the cap parting line.
The clearance specs for a 6 bolt 4g63 by the way are 0.0008" to 0.002"
not 0.018".
The torque specs for the mains bearing bolts differ slightly across which
model you have. From 50nm to 70nm. Start in the middle and work your
way out, do it in 2 or 3 stages like a head gasket. Anything over 70nm
is too much for a 10mm grade 10 metric bolt in my opinion.

ACL have a recommended guide on clearance w.r.t the journal diameter, loads and bearing material, which I used to come to some sort of number between the Factory recommendations back in the 1990's and todays industry guide.
