Microtech Laptop Dongle

Post by Rola »

Hey guys, im thinking of getting a microtech laptop dongle but the guy who sells them wants 90 dollars for one... but it looks to be only a genderbending DE-9 serial plug.

Anyone know if thats all it is or has he wired it up differently?

Because if thats all it is i can make myself one out of two DE-9 serial plugs and save myself 90 dollars.

Thanks for any info in advance,

Cheers,
Rola.

They also have ability to store 3 maps, so you can't just use a gender changing 9 pin afaik.
I have a genuine one, can take pics if you want?

The adapter also has storage space to hold 4 programs on board which can be easily saved or loaded into any LT series MicroTech ECU.

Straight from Microtech website.
