Hey guys,
Quick question - you've got a funky engine setup in an L200, and behind it you have a Starion gearbox, would you be able to move the setup to a Starion without making new engine mounts?
e.g. are RWD L200 and Starion mounts the same? Gearbox still line up etc etc
Need to know because I can either buy the suitable mounts (from a Pajero) and suitable spacers (so the sump wont hit the crossmember in an L200) with my new gearbox purchase, or just have custom ones made up later if they're not interchangable.
Cheers

Topic is invalid now, decided I'll just going to sort my own mounts out now (communication issue). I beleive Pajero 3L mounts + 10mm spacer will work, if not then Starion mounts with 10mm adaptor plates which I'll get made up.
Starion Gearbox + modified bellhousing to suit 6G72 was $200 + $70 postage :)
Now I just need the engine :( Better start saving I guess.

if the L200 used 4g63 engine mounts then it should be sweet.
a mate of mine bolted a vr4 4g63 straight onto stock L200 mounts in a 1984 ute. the L200 gearbox bolted straight up too. i'm not sure whether different L200's had different mounts though, hope this helps.
sounds like a mean conversion, hows the starion going for space width wise?? and what are you going to do about turbo setup??
cheers

and as a side note import x (NZ import car show) is thinking about this engine in an EX lancer as its next project. might be worth watching for some ideas. might be worth jumping onto the import x forums and voting for it too to make sure that they build it.
here's the site but you'll need to register to vote, worth it IMO:

vote quick, i just checked and the laurel ute is currently in first place by a lazy 6%.
