hey guys just took the head off the spare dash motor today and thought it might be worth puttingg them up any thoughts the head is quite interesting

Hmmmm, definatly interesting. 4 valve reliefs in every piston, yet only 3 valves per cylinder.

i thought the dash engine used early VR4 pistons, hence the extra valve cut out.

Correct, VR4 and DASH Pistons are different though
Computer games don't affect kids I mean if PacMan affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music :D

yeah but they can'
t be taht diff from vr4 what i;m thinking is vr4 forged pistons are easy to get so may be a straight swap
also the oil solenoid on the head that controls the other 4 valves its cool
keepin it sideways 24/7

No, but they are comparable to VR4 pistons as they're basically the same.
You'll also note that 8 valve engines have 3 valve reliefs per piston. As it was said before, looks like Mitsi was thinking ahead :)

i tell you what i'm going to do i'm going to twim cam my baby it's gunna be better in the long run and more easy power
sooooooo.....
i have for sale one complete dash motor wiring loom exhaust manifold pretty much everything there i can put a turbo in if need be and.....
1* dash head and wiring loom and everything else to go with it so really theres two dash motors for sale with all the bits and pieces except one has no block so one is still in my car and in good nick while the other i just took the head off last night seems to be in good nick but i don't know the k's on it nor heard it running but its one of the cleaner heads i;ve seen so let me know if your interested they will be on trade me tonite or tom with pics

will a dash head bolt straight on? and is it worth bolting one staright on if possible?
how much more power can the dash head produce?

I think you'll need the pistons with the four valve recesses.

I dont think they do man... They have a heart shaped dish in them, its a more efficient combustion design.
