Post by 85_cordia_gsr »

hey guys, distirbutor issues still, just wondering if anyone can confirm wat my distributor actually is??
its on a DASH motor, so im guessing its the original optical dizzy, but not sure.
it has the part number 3T64271 on it, with 6227 in smaller numbers underneath.
If anyone has an optical dizzy could u pleeaase check the numbers and let me knw wat you've got.
thanks!!

I've got what i've been told is a sonata dizzy that has the 4 ref slots and the one home slot, the numbers on it goes something like this:

line 1: 27100 - 32810
line 2: MDE - 411A
line 3: 9F23
Starions are a disease, the only cure is poverty.

I think your dizzy is a standard Starion one (ie, non-optical).

I've seen standard Starion ones with 3T64271, -73 and -74.
Starion nutter since 1988...

I just had a look at mine, they both have T3T64272 DF2 and then underneath that the Sirius one has 6225 and the Cyclone one has 6517.

You can confirm if it really is an optical dizzy or not very easily. An optical dizzy should have four wires coming out of it, not three, it shouldn't have a vac advance on it and if you take the cap and rotor off you will see a metal disc instead of a 4 prong metal reluctor thing.
