VR4 thermostat

Post by scum »

all done except for the top cover, that wont happen for a while coz I have to get more stuff in the engine bay to figure out where it will point. does anyone know if the 2pin sensor for the ECU temp use its own earth? I only ask because I know if you use too muck sealant / thread tape on a temp sensor for the dash it can cut out the signal and cause problems, and my thread cutting on that hole was really bad so I had to use lots of tape :?
also, does the std gallant dash sensor work the same as the std starion one? or do I have to transplant the old one?

just been thinking, now have a headache and have to go home. but be4 I do, I suppose the main coolant pipes don’t have to be much bigger, if at all, than the hole in the thermostat plate, as that is the biggest restriction in the whole cooling system. any probs with that theory?
