King Springs

Post by dirty sanchez »

I'm looking at buying replacement king springs for my JA. Does anyone have a set on their Starion and how do they compare to standard springs in terms of ride height and spring rate?

Lowered ones raised the car up about 5mm over standard (saggy) springs on the front.

Not sure if you can get extra lowered ones. Each car is different though. Measure before and after and see how you go. They are stiffer too.

I think my front springs are saggy, the front looks quite low. I want to get lowered springs for the back but I don't want to buy them to find out the actually raise the car!

I run king springs that are 35mm lower over standard springs, but essentialy if your current springs are sagging, the handling you would gain from a new set of non-saggy short springs will outweight the possible 10mm ride height difference.
with my springs my exhaust sits 80mm above the ground, so really it's below legal height (100mm) and I dont cop too much flack from the police, have had the car over the pits twice with them and no great hassles there....
