Maybe mine had a 100ml or so laying in the bottom? Anyway who cares fill it to the bottom of the filler hole.
Was the car level when you were filling the oil. ie not just the back jacked up?

By the way, it's a lot easier to fill through the driveshaft hole rather than the plug hole (if you are installing for the first time and have the driveshafts out of course.)

Thanks Alspos , your assumption is correct , JB LSD into a JA. I will fill it through the driveshaft hole as I don't have a fluid pump to get it into the filler. I'll be undertaking this excercise tomorrow.

Cut the bottom off a 1.25l coke bottle. Top fits perfectly in the axle hole and leaves a nice big funnel to feed oil in once it's all installed. Pour slow near the end, the funnel fills up when it's full and then you get to empty it out somewhere (probably on your driveway LOL )

A little lower. But it's a damn sight easier to fill through the big hole. And a little more oil won't hurt it.
