My JA has perfect motor - FMIC - forgies - high flow head but...rusted front guards and keyed on every panel. Time to get serious or time to take it to the tip.

Yep, the purple one already owes me over $100k, ! spent $13k on new parts. Every panel is new, along with hinges, clips, nuts, bolts etc. Plus the 2lt motor/gearbox I spent $13k on is old news. The V6 cost $4500, the Supra 6sp box $3500, the new clutch $3500, diff $1500 etc etc.

Needed to complete:

Brakes $15k
Wheels $8k
M800 $12k (with dash, injectors,pumps etc)
Cage $6k
Engine/box/diff mounts $2k+
Suspension $6k+
Paint (again) $8-10k
Turbos $5k
Manifolds $3k
Exhaust $2-3k

Plus even more I've probably left out. That's without even building a motor. I'd love to make a hybrid 6G74 3.8lt with twin cam heads.

Eeasily done! The front 335mm Alcon upgrade on my white JA cost around $4k doing it cheap.

I'm going to use either 380/410mm on the front and 355mm on the back of the V6. Alcon's best calipers are $8k each, so you could spend $40k on brakes if you wanted!

v6 starion

Post by JAS »

Ive decided to stay with the 12 valve and develop it insted, its a good base, having been rebult and having forged pistons and all.
Im going to make a MPI manifold for it and put a 20g wheel in the TC06.
Should go fast enough for me.
Thanks for your input guys.
